從香港到英國：移民前的英語準備專家

最近，我到訪了中學老師容Sir的家，感謝老師一家的款待，享用了美味的牛肋骨和餐廳級數的甜品！
Recently, I visited my former secondary school teacher Mr. Thomas Yung's home, where his family graciously treated me to delicious beef ribs and restaurant-quality desserts!

容Sir是我的中學老師、補習客戶、貴人和恩人！
Mr. Yung is my former teacher, tutoring client, benefactor, and mentor!

每次說到在牛津讀碩士期間，遠在英國海外要找香港學生做研究都一額汗，幸得老師幫忙聯繫，才得以順利完成畢業論文。
When I recall my Oxford master's days, finding research participants overseas seemed impossible. Mr. Yung made crucial connections that enabled me to complete my dissertation.

我一直和兩位公子都是線上補英文，所以今次特意前來跟兩位學生見面。
I had been teaching both Weasley and Kingsley online, so this visit was specifically to meet them in person.

真係一手一腳教他們，兩個學生本身英文都偏弱，現在將他們脫胎換骨，我都好自豪。
I personally tutored them from scratch - both students initially had weak English, and transforming them completely fills me with pride.

見到他們全家已經順利移民英國，開展新生活，我都好替他們開心。
Seeing the family now successfully relocated to the UK and starting their new life fills me with joy for them.

哥哥樂知（Weasley）：移民前全方位準備英文能力
Elder Brother Weasley: Comprehensive Strategic Preparation

樂知本身在班上的英文是108人的80名之後，但我同他補了5個月後，就躍升至108人的第18名！
Weasley initially ranked 80th+ out of 108 students in English, but after just 5 months of tutoring, he jumped to 18th place!

後來哥哥樂知就從全級尾幾名，幾個月後校內試補到全級頭十幾名，再補IELTS、DSE，教UCAS Personal Statement，現在見證入了大學讀到心儀學科，隨口講英文完全無問題，算是功德圓滿任務完成！
Initially near the bottom of his grade, after a few months, he rose to the top 20 in school exams. I then prepared him for IELTS, DSE, and coached his UCAS Personal Statement. Witnessing him now admitted to his dream university program, speaking English effortlessly - mission accomplished!

記得補完第一堂，學生家長問我覺得怎樣，我答「一流的學生，好少見這麼乖的學生；功課做足又有禮貌，求學態度又好，不明就會即刻問」。
After our first lesson, his parents asked my impression. I replied: "A first-class student - rarely do I meet someone so well-behaved, thorough with homework, polite, eager to learn, and unafraid to ask questions immediately."

他為了溫HKDSE，會凌晨4點半起身，跑步之後溫書，旅行時都會溫書，這份自律真是令人動容。
His discipline moved me deeply - he'd wake at 4:30 AM to jog before studying for HKDSE, and even maintained his study routine during family trips.

2023年6月尾：開始英文科恆常補習，主要補習IELTS同DSE

2025年1月19日：補IELTS的最後一堂，學生凌晨5點補習，想上天台一路補習一路看日出
January 19, 2025: Final IELTS lesson at 5 AM - he wanted to study on the rooftop while watching the sunrise

2025年1月22日：成功考獲IELTS 6.5分，聆聽更有7.0分！
January 22, 2025: Achieved IELTS 6.5 overall with 7.0 in Listening!

2025年2月26日：收到5個英國大學生物系offer！

他臨考試前，我同他講 "You're the best!" 雖然學生常說自己沒什麼情感，但他有次自動自覺同我講多謝，那刻都幾安慰。
Before his exam, I told him "You're the best!" Though he claimed to lack emotional expression, he spontaneously thanked me once - that moment was touching.
